Sean Hamilton is an L.A based producer, songwriter and engineer. The Grammy-nominated force is responsible for hit records from the likes of H.E.R, Toby Mac, EXO and Jac Ross. He is also responsible for Justin Beiber’s break-out record “One Less Lonely Girl.”
Hamilton mentored under music icon Rodney Jerkins during which time he helped craft H.E.R’s “Hard Place”, Jac Ross’ “Saved”, X-Ambassadors “Happy Home” and Ciara’s “Dose” to name a few. He then went on to help run creative at songwriter Harold Lilly’s Hardcover imprint (leikeli47, JamesDavis).
On his own, Hamilton built a small sync company with placements on ESPN, Turner, FOX, NBC, Netflix and Disney. He and his team also wrote and produced a large amount of the music featured in Season’s 3-5 of FOX’s hit show “Empire”.
In the Spring of 2020, he debuted his artist moniker BlvkM0nd4y and began releasing a string of dynamic records across several genres including R&B, Pop, Dancehall, Gospel, House and Hip-hop. This culminated in his debut EP, BLVKPHURY: THE LOFI TAPES vol. 1, a collaborative twist on the lofi genre co-helmed with fellow Grammy nominee Phury (Phil Lewis).
He’s kept busy behind the scenes working closely with and becoming a focal point in the artist development of Pyra (Warner Asia) and Marley Bleu (Republic Records) as well as helping craft projects Katlyn Nichol (Republic Records) and Cam Anthony (The Voice Winner, Republic Records).
Fueled by the reception of Pyra’s two EPs (fkn bad pt 1 & 2) and an NME Award for Best Asian Song, Hamilton is moving his talents to the UK in search of new challenges and to solidify his BlvkM0nd4y brand with BLVKPHURY: THE LOFI TAPES vol. 2.
This two part EP will showcase original music from Hamilton and Lewis and feature vocals from Sinead Harnett, Chloe Bailey, Maeta, Karina Pasian and more. Its first single “So Cold” featuring Pyra is a reimagining of her 2021 song of the same name. The pair will be present at this years NME ceremony where Pyra is up for Best Solo Act in The World against the likes of Billie Ellish, The Weeknd and Rina Sawayama.
